Worksop's Wellbeing Wonders

Social media, websites, workshops & virtual museums!

Nestled within Worksop, the Aurora Wellspring Centre stands as a place of support for those facing health challenges. In 2011 the Aurora Charity took over the Old Library and Museum Building, becoming a cherished community hub. Recently refurbished with the generous support of National Heritage and Lottery Funding, it now welcomes everyone in the area, promising not just a space but a place to gather, grow, and relive Worksop's rich history.

Our Approach:
Starting with the restoration process, documenting the change from the Old Library into the Aurora Wellspring Centre. High-quality photos captured not only the physical changes but the spirit of rejuvenation that breathed new life into the building. Virtual museums came alive with photos of objects from Worksop's past, offering a digital stroll through history.

The Community: Beyond capturing moments, I shared the art of object museum photography with volunteers. Teaching the methods meant preserving more pieces of Worksop's history. Behind-the-scenes shots showcased volunteers immersed in planning and assembling displays in the Heritage Hub, showing dedication and community spirit.

Results: The restoration journey wasn't just about fixing up a place; it was about sharing Worksop's essence. Now, you can catch a piece of it on social media and their website. The Centre invites locals and people passing by to experience the charity and the Virtual Museum allows everyone a glimpse into Worksop's vibrant past.
